Have you ever marked for your box hinge screws and then the drill wonders off? Yes, very frustrating. Well this simple little drilling jig keeps the hole in the right place, just slightly forward and off centre.
Please note, if you are drilling into very hard woods such as Oak, Ash or Ebony then it is advisable to ream the holes with a slightly larger drill bit eg 2.5mm.

When you spend valuable time creating your incredible boxes, don’t fit below standard hardware. Instead use our quality box hardware to show off your projects to the highest possible level and use our simple drilling jig to fit our neat box hinges. Please note, this drill jig does not suit the Large Neat Hinge which requires the Large Drill Jig.

It is a great addition to our jewelry box hardware range, saving time and reducing those easily made mistakes. Each drilling jig comes supplied with a 1.8mm drill.

Hi Ian, I recently purchased your Neat Elite brass hinge and its accompanying metal drilling jig. Just want to say how beautiful it is, and how accurate the fitting of the hinge was when using your drilling jig. As your instruction advised, I did have to drill a wider diameter hole for the extreme hardwood that I used on my box (i.e. to avoid breaking the brass screws, which I have done in the past!).
