We are delighted to be supplying such quality box hardware as the Precision Button Catch (Gold). It is quite simply the best spring box catch on the box hardware market. (New 3rd generation version). When a jewelry box lock and key are not suitable for your box, then box catches are a great alternative. Once the button is pressed on this impressive button catch, the lid pops open by about 5mm. What we also like is that the catch has a nice satisfying closure mechanism.
Technical Details
This handy piece of box hardware – the precision button catch (Gold) – is suitable for a box wall thickness between 12mm-15mm. The overall diameter including collar is 20mm (2cm) and the button diameter itself is approx 15mm (1.5cm). The button catch requires time at setup but is well worth it. The precision button catch is ideal to use with our Neat Jewelry Box Hinges – either the large version or medium version depending on your box size. There may be instances when you will need two precision catches for your box. Such boxes may include long flute cases or other wide bespoke boxes.

As a Brusso user, I was looking for a UK based supplier of high quality hardware.
Fineboxhardware, offer a small but beautiful range of premium quality hardware, so I decided to try their products.
Delivery was fast, items well packaged and individually protected in tissue paper.
Items ordered were large Elite Box hinge, and Precision Button latch.
Dimensioned installation drawings on website were great, but installation notes lacking somewhat for first timers. (I was hoping to see an installation video as the 8 compartment watch box I intended to use them on was already completed with both interior and exterior finish to a flawless standard).
However, installation was easy enough to work out where information was lacking and the results exceeded my expectations.
These items are premium quality, they look exceptional on the high end items I produce.
In my opinion FBH products are an order of magnitude superior to Brusso.
I will be buying again.
